I am a pediatric Speech Language Pathologist residing in central Virginia. My passion is to help children of all stages find their voice to communicate meaningfully with those they love. I started My Speech Pocket, LLC to provide children and adolescents, along with their families, easily accessible tools and strategies to improve their speech and language skills and interactions.
My style of telepractice works best when families take an active role in their child’s therapy sessions and daily practice. I love to equip each child AND his or her family with effective strategies in order to maximize therapy gains and accelerate treatment.
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders from James Madison University and my Master of Science in Education from Old Dominion University. My clinical experience ranges from inpatient rehab to pediatric outpatient clinics and public schools.
I have received extensive training in the area of AAC (Unity, LAMP, DynaVox) and Autism Spectrum Disorders. My therapy focuses on family and client goals and interests in order to achieve functional skills and improve quality of life.
